What Is A System Boiler?

A System boiler is still technically a heat-only boiler, which still requires a cylinder for storing hot water.

The main benefit of a system boiler over a heat-only boiler is a system boiler has the major heating components built into the boiler itself. This makes it quicker and easier to install.

A System Boiler works under pressure

As a system boiler is designed to work under pressure, more commonly known as a sealed system, there is no need for a header tank in the loft which helps with space saving. Sealing your heating system helps your heating system run more efficiently. This is done by preventing air from being drawn in, which is the primary cause of sludge.

These boilers are also compatible with solar water heating systems, which deliver environmental benefits, as well as lower energy bills.

No need for a header tank, freeing up space and eliminating worries about leaks or frost damage.

✓ Economical to run.

✓ Built-in components make installation quicker and neater.
